When the rigid sleep stations arenÕt being used, the crew uses sleeping bags. They can be attached to hang horizontally or vertically off of the mid-deck lockers. The astronauts can choose to sleep right side up or upside down, or with their bodies facing toward the ceiling or floor. Each sleeping bag has a support pad with restraining straps and a pillow that attaches to the top of the bag with Velcro.
